@ChristinaTasty And would you look at that, she had three companions, and somehow they were all developed and well written. Maybe the problem isn't the amount of companions, and just that the writers of season 11 and 12 can't write characters.

I'm not saying the right one will always look bad, in fact the artist that posted this makes it look very good, but I feel like the simplicity of the left one will be timeless, while the right one looks like some Jim Lee New 52 redesign.
