A huge reason that evolution is hard to imagine for some people and "easy" to "debunk" for some is the lack of present-day seemingly "transitionary" organisms. And also a need for knowledge on the tons of transitionary taxa preserved in the fossil record.

So, why am I so hostile towards Jurassic world/awesomebro culture in general?

I believe these movies inadvertently lead to the proliferation of evolution denial and other anti-science ideals we see around us today.
