I drew this. Last year. Now I look at it and the anatomy is just too fucked up. I mean, I know most of us cringe at our old artwork every now and then, but, come on. Back then, it was my ego that made me believe this was absolutely flawless.

@Crocoboyo Pretty much all of them have learned realism at some point, including the ones who have worked on TV shows such as Gravity Falls. Take a look at this, for instance:

So I felt like drawing this rad puppy that everyone seems to really love. I especially adore the simplistic design that the creators have come up with for Bluey. So I thought, why not give this a go? Hope you like it!

A few updates to the drawing I was doing earlier on. I probably will not keep the character design as it is, as he isn't really set apart too much from other fox character designs. However, I wanted to focus more on practicing composition and drawing objects from real life.

Even further editing! I brought the arms closer together this time because even though he's a tubby fox, the skeletal structure doesn't change. And I've decided to make him have fox looking hands when he is sitting. But when he is standing, I might make the hands look different.

So I've been studying quite a bit on figure drawing lately, and I wanted to experiment this on my character Anthony to see how it would look. I'm keen to know, what do you think of my style so far? I know I still got to work heavily on background drawings in the future.

Did anyone here find Anthony's newest design (on the right) less appealing than the previous design? In my opinion, I kind of liked the previous one better since it looked more cartoonish. Wouldn't you guys agree on this?

A few people have said that my character comes across as pessimistic looking. I agree. However, I actually intended for him to be someone who's just lazy and laid-back, rather than someone who is grumpy. Therefore, I decided to make a few changes to make him look more easy-going.

So what I have drawn is not very exciting at this stage (no fancy pose), but for the time being, I wanted to focus on the design itself in order to show you what I possibly have planned for how he's going to look. And I want to ask, which design do you personally like better?

I don't think I've done this too many times before, but if you have any, what are some things you would like to ask about either of my characters I've drawn?
