I finally rewatched Children Who Chase Lost Voices, nearly 4 years later, and it still holds up so well for me. Still perfectly bleak yet beautiful, and still remains my 2nd favorite Makoto Shinkai work. Also probably my favorite of his from a visual standpoint.

Having finished Bakemonogatari: I don’t think this is a series for me. The solid production design & acting don’t help a frankly repetitive, obnoxious presentation and a sheer disconnect from most of the characters and humor. Watching it felt more like a chore than an experience.

Since it’s been a rough week, I need to take my mind off of it with a few lists.

So today, I present my favorite One Piece characters, as of pre-timeskip:

I think battle scars are an inherently sexy quality. They are great indicators of strength, perseverance, steadfast nature and the likes. Taste is subjective, but if any woman disagrees, I won’t understand.
