Water Monster (2021) - Xiang Qiu Liang and Xiang He Sheng direct stars Steven Liu and Zhou Li Lan in this tale of revenge for a father murdered by a monster. It’s interesting to see China’s film output when not filtered by international distributors.

Hayao Miyazaki Vs. Junji Ito.

It’s funny because it’s true.

Ninja In The Dragon’s Den (1982) - Corey Yuen directs, Conan Lee and Hiroyuki Sanada star (with a special guest appearance from Hwang Jang Lee). I’ve seen this more times than I care to remember, but sometimes you are just in the mood to Shaka-Ninja! A true classic.

Bloody Muscle Body Builder in Hell (2012) - Originally shot in 1995 and directed by Shinchi Fukazawa, what has been dubbed as the Japanese Evil Dead has one hell of a reputation. Those lovely folks gave this a nice release a few years back too.

Battletruck (1982) - aka Warlords of the 21st Century, Directed by Harley Cokliss and starring Michael Beck, Annie McEnroe and James Wainwright. New World pictures cashing in on Mad Max. It’s dark for its type and it’s a damn sight better than it has any right to be.

Project A (1983) - Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao and Dick Wei in a near perfect, action packed comedy… HK cinema at its best. Rarely topped and one of those films that solidified my love for the genre way back when. Time to crack open that 2K restoration…

Invincible Armour (1977) - Ng See-Yuen reunites John Liu and Hwang Jang Lee in this tale of a man accused of a murder he did not commit. John Liu and Hwang Jang Lee are always a dream to watch (see Secret Rivals 1&2), but there is just that something special here.

The Hot, The Cool and The Vicious (1976) - Another Lee Tso Nam classic. Starring Wong Tao, Tan Tao Laing and Gam Ming (aka Tommy Lee). A long time favourite, it’s filled with great fights and a good story, something to be cherished in this genre. An undervalued classic.
