I like how Peter’s responsibilities as a hero can sometimes require more than just Spider-Man, beyond taking down the bad guy. Every so often it can be the photographer that breaks the case and exposes the cracks, Spider-Man serving more as assistance than primary driving force.
If Raimi’s Spider-Man does end up dying in a hypothetical Spider-Verse, I think the Spider-Mantle should be passed on to Mayday. She’s a better fit as Peter Parker’s successor as it pertains to the era Raimi Spider-Man projects, both canonically and in real life.
