@ElvingJack Because that was only one of three epilogues. In “Days” Peter’s clearly more than torn up about the incident with Ben, planting the seeds of what’s to come.

So in spite of the controversy surrounding this run, I’m not ashamed to say that so far, I’m enjoying Zeb Wells’ Amazing Spider-Man. Give it a try, who knows, you might find what you’re looking for.

There’s an interesting parallel between Peter and Tombstone in the most recent ASM. Tombstone’s recollection of his youth harkens back to a similar story Peter told about his days before Spider-Man in SSM #172.
