P.S. Before any of you say it, yes, DK's hand-drawn artwork in the original Super Smash Bros. was when Nintendo first toyed with putting the arcade teeth on Rare's model. It just didn't happen on the regular until 2002! DON'T TRY TO OUT-FACT ME ON THE DENTAL HYGIENE OF KONGS.

After Microsoft acquired Rare, Nintendo tried different things for DK. With an embracing of the Arcade Era came the return of BIG TEETH, which looked like DK had sprung for veneers that didn't fit. However, they also kept Rare's "gummy smile" around, often in the same game! 3/4
