Much like with Uzuki characters, many Xeno games have party members who dual wield guns, distance themselves from their pasts, and learn to accept said pasts through the main party opening them up. Here are some examples:

Emeralda from Xenogears can become an adult through doing a late-game side quest, much similar to Poppi in Xenoblade when she becomes her QTπ form. Poppi has a reference to this connection in her Nano Orange DLC outfit.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 wasn't the first time KOS-MOS from Xenosaga met a Xenoblade character! She and Fiora were a double unit in Project X Zone 2, where they battle Metal face.

Every Xeno game has an agility-based party member, typically inspired by Asian culture/clothing. Calm and wise, they usually (but not always) wield a katana. The fan name for this archetype is "Uzuki" characters, after the first ever one, Citan Uzuki. Here are some examples:

A more well-known piece of trivia today. Every Xeno Series game has a character who is a war general whose name starts with "Van." Vanderkam from Xenogears, Vanderkam from Xenosaga, Vangarre from Xenoblade, and the Vandhams from Xenoblade X, 2, and 3.

Xenosaga Episode I has a long forgotten anime adaptation, though its animation and writing quality is quite... dubious. It actually has a few scenes of its content adapted into the Japan-only Xenosaga 1 + 2 on the DS.
