repurposed into the Lightside form of the Yo-kai Magengeki, Saya. (2/2)
In celebration of the release of Yo-kai Watch 4, the author of the Corocoro Comic manga "Super Mario-kun", Yukio Sawada, drew Jibanyan with his art style, with a Mario hat with the letter "J" to represent Jibanyan on it.
Jibanyan's Japanese voice actor, Etsuko Kozakura, is known for voicing many other anime characters, some examples being Recovery Girl from My Hero Academia, Cosmo from Sonic X, Dawn's Piplup in the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl movies, and Onigiri from Zoids Wild.
Chapter 6 of the Inazuma Eleven Manga-5 manga: "The Flame Striker! Axel's Soliloquy" references the Yo-kai Josper, where Axel Blaze is seen pulling a Joker card that contains a picture of a creature that looks similar to him, just with slightly different clothes and only one eye.
One of Lionguist's random nicknames in Yo-kai Watch 3 is "Jisho" which means "dictionary" in Japanese.
Chocolina is actually a variant of Spoilerina, however it's hard to tell due to all of her extra details.
Tigappa's key art is a rare instance where despite being a palette swap they have completely separate artwork from their original counterpart.
Mamemameinu, Miirakansu, and Nego are Onryo that made their first appearance in the Y Academy manga, later appearing in a Y Academy Gates of Whimsy event in Yo-kai Watch Puni Puni. All are fanmade characters from children in a Corocoro Comic contest.
These images of Gilgaros, Komashura, and Dandoodle show how the artist for Yo-kai Watch, Takuzou Nagano colors in his artwork.
Rocky Badboya is based off of Joe Yabuki from the "Ashita no Joe" series and could also possibly be based off of Glass Joe from the "Punch-Out!!" series due to his weak personality and nationality.
