Some of this week’s extracurricular digital drawings — THE AVENGERS ‘98 (very fine if much maligned), Daryl Zero of ZERO EFFECT (also from 1998, coincidentally), a wonderfully bizarre Composite Superman toy, and the progression of pulp’s wild child, The SPIDER🕷

But as his series continued to move in a more horror-inflected direction, so too does his persona — he starts wearing fangs, a fright wig, even a fake hunchback. He shrieks and snickers and cackles. His enemies rack up three figure bodycounts, and the Master of Men keeps pace.

Found this in an old notebook: Albert, an artifact from a verrry early version of LAVENDER JACK where Ducky was married to the Bastrop Manor butler. Al wasn’t in on the LJ operation, so he was constantly in his feelings over how much time his wife spent w/ the master of the house
Managed to squeeze in some art, too — we have Will Eisner himself from 1941, and my personal favorite of his many creations, P’Gell, with a tiny Spirit for flavor #WillEisnerWeek
