The end! The Octopus is finally dead... or is he? He isn't. More of that wonderful narrator, here at the end of the story... and that amazing, gnarled-up Octopus hand, scrawling sarcastic revenge.

Out through the window, into the Alley. But instead of feeling free of the dark room, we're dumped into just as cramped and claustrophobic a space as before. The right-left line of motion carries through these last two panels, giving the chase momentum.

HUGE change of stakes here. The Octopus's whole objective was to get to his henchman, but now that he sees Crusher's a potential liability, he wastes him. Then he destroys the flash, plunging the scene in to darkness-- HIS element. But Spirit's glove shows he's still in the game.

It's the last LAVENDER JACK of 2018! And like the best mid-season finales, the card is STACKED. Crabb confronts Madame Ferrier. A vital clue is uncovered. Plus: yoga!
