@RLRSmith88 Picking favourites is always hard. Went for a bit of variety. For some reason, the Wight King may be my absolute favourite, despite being relatively subtle.
The coat has clear ties, the bindings on front and the cummerbund (now part belt) is a clear reference.
The hat is an armoured version of traditional steppe headware. Common from mongolia to hungary. Still in use!
Next up are the brutes of the box, the Kosargi Nightguard. Now we're rwally stepping into the border of europe and asia. They are modelled on Cossacks, enlightenment era. Ogors have always had an eastern nomadic influence, and the Kosargi fit into that. The coat and cummerbund!
Time to dig into the #CursedCity models and see if I can't spot some fun details.
There's a lot to take in, so consider this a series of hot takes. #Warmongers #WarhammerCommunity
@or2doxor2graphy They're pretty great sculpts. But they definitely suffer next to the Blissbarbs. The twinsouls especially feel like they fall flat. Both the wrathmonger and blight king boxes are more dynamic.
Where's our running pose?
Our backwards-leaning contempt?
The obsession?
The new Slaanesh releases are superb. The archers and riders are dynamic, varied and immediate classics. The hero is a fantastic sculpt.
The myrmidesh/twinsouls are the weakest of the bunch. Still fairly strong sculpts but they look all the worse in comparison. Surprising to me.
@Dark_Fantastic Given the awesome amount of potential inspiration, this could be amazing! I have a fondness for the Metal Slug... thing. Feels very "cogfort in Ghur".
@ProPainted Finished my due years ago. Such an incredible set! Went a bit mad, and made sure they were board game legible.
"Hello, small child. Would you like to DIE?" .
The new models for Cursed City look spectacular. I especially love that the skeletons are very much natural bone, and not some old school style grinning-faced and eye socket eyebrows.
