@75Opposite Elric of Melniboné (1st book)
there's 2 comics from this:
- the 1983 one by Roy Thomas/P Craig Russell/Michael T Gilbert
- the 2014 french adap by Glenat that Titan released in 2 vol, Ruby Throne and Stormbringer
@MystMmos @75Opposite Oh yeah just to clarify; Elric started as short stories in 1961 in fanzines. This comic is an 2014 adaptation made in france of 4 stories telling his origin. It is so good that in the hardcover edition the author literally says its the definitive version of the story
@LLVBGM The usual reply i see is "its boring", since each arc has a pretty different tone i see why someone would skip. I also saw that recently with Al Ewing amazing run on Immortal Hulk, he did 50 chap, 4 years of peak writing, but the new arc is very different so people stoped reading
@ajms9495 @GundamIsHere Mangakas are also influenced by western authors and illustrators, its the same art form. Take Berserk for example, it's hard to not see golden/silver age visual influence, or even conceptual wise like in Moorcock writing
@BasedLIDA when you're learning visual storytelling that's pretty much the first thing you need to sharp. Sometimes the whole book has no dialogues, examples like
