@MHAKuso2401 @Foreverheroics I feel "uncreative" applies to volume covers in general Ob there's excpetions but they follow a pattern that can be a lot repetitive like close shot, mid shot, full body char doing cool pose and repeat. In that sense the west publishers takes more care on covers

@Guts_inmy_gutz @BasedLIDA There's Elric. Huge forerunner for dark fantasy, one of the Sword and Sorcery fathers along with Conan, also Black Moon Chronicles and Alabaster. Visually there's like Golden/Silver age masters like Hal Foster, Alfredo Alcala, Frazetta, Alex Nino and John Buscema too
@Anberal_Linone @BasedLIDA From what i saw from his posts the approach is pretty simple: apply solid colors that fits the scene/characters, keeping these colors close to the lineart outlines. You can see this as something close to oldschool comics coloring approach but also reminds Miura's watercolors
Moebius desenhando Blueberry e fazendo sci-fi tinha gente q n reconhecia o cara

@M1847D this publisher is also releasing new conan adaptations, my favorite atm is the frost giant daughter. Also:
Siegfried trilogy
Requiem
Vei
Slaine
The black moon chronicles
@M1847D Elric, the photo order is the reading order. He's basically the father of dark fantasy as a sub genre. This is a french adaptation (og a book series from the 60s)
