There are three different kinds of Prestidigitators found in the DQ series! The staff-wielding ones in DQ1, the orange sash wearing ones in DQ3 & DQ11, and finally the ghoulish ones from DQ5.
All their variants are not named equally however.
Out of all the Shadow Variants, it appears that Umbra is currently the only variant that has yet to receive a color change. (3/3)
Whenever a Burr Baby gets angry, it explodes into a million pieces.
While this feature happens in Dragon Quest Monsters 1 and 2, Burr Babies in Dragon Quest 5 however can only either fight or flee from battle.
Their stronger variants on the other hand can explode.
Donkey Xote’s name from DQ7 is based off Alonso Quixano’s nickname Don Quioxte, he is a middle aged man who is the main character of the Spanish story Don Quixote de la Mancha.
He considers himself a knight, going on a series of quests while making onlookers believe he’s crazy.
DQ9 Hero
As far as I know, DQ9’s Hero only has a legendary armor under their name. There is no instance of him having a legendary sword or shield.
People can argue that the Stardust Sword is his iconic weapon, but that weapon isn’t used in 9’s story… so…
DQ6 Hero
The chances of him being considered is unknown for the most part.
He falls under the right prerequisites of becoming playable, but he was probably beaten by Solo.
DQ5 Hero
Even though he can use magic and equip weapons such as a sword and shield, he cannot equip the Zenithian Sword and Shield like his son can.
And since the theme requires all playable heroes to do just that, he was reduced to be an alt color for Erdrick.
-DQ1 Hero-
Was considered during development, but he lost in a vote between himself and Solo from Dragon Quest 4. Hence the fact that Solo’s alt costume DQ1 Hero’s colors.
The Flying Carpet’s designs shows a bird or birdlike creature in the middle.
While this design can be based off any kind of bird we know, it could be a loose reference to that of Ramia herself.
