I've been meaning to get to know these better; probably already seen a couple seasons worth of TV between them, but I can tell they're all ambitious and adventurous ideas that arguably didn't get their dues, though I'm hard pressed to imagine who else would've picked them up.
These are definitely edgier in nature but not unapproachable; I've always admired the sheer amount of content for older folks they were willing to give a shot. A bit more laid back than the rest but not exactly understated.
Some softer, comfier favorites; they unironically take you take to a simpler time where animated projects were allowed to breathe and take on a variety of forms with less regard to instantaneous ROI. If it's not for preschoolers, you'll be hard pressed to find more like these.
Guilty pleasures from the Dark Ages...
They got shit bc too many people were entering their 'cartoonz r lame!!!!1' phase and took it out on them; by all means, they're middling for the most part but on the right day, they're gonna make you laugh a lot, intentionally or otherwise.
These are some of the earliest I remember watching; they always seem a little different when you revisit 'em but by and large, these all hold up pretty well. All of 'em are more slice of life types with adventure elements but they've demonstrated flexibility.
As far as all time favorites go, probably these four but they're mainly the ones I got to know later. It's been a while since the days of Johnny Test and 6teen but I don't think we really acknowledge how much they gave us. Plenty of solid shows to recommend. https://t.co/LjPTgcNyQP
I've started separating Phineas and Ferb into two separate production runs in my mind. First four seasons is first run; everything after that, including crossover and CATU, is second run. Labelling it as 2007 - ???? is funnier, but this seems to be at least a little more correct.
idk I think y'all put too much stock into this 'end of an era' thing
moon girl's existence aside, it's not like serialized stuff is even 'leaving', just moving to D+
there's a glut of older serialized DTVA shows to watch that came out not even a full decade before Gravity Falls https://t.co/a6iri5Hpzf
considering the amount of animated material that's been leaked the past few months, the last one i'd expect to be hit was the rectangle dog show
a S3 holdover from Russia no less
looks like one of the last new things they got before disney closed up shop there
nothing is sacred😭
