it's a tight distinction to make, but there are plenty of smaller animated joints that have at least broken through the public consciousness. yes, mainstream popularity is important but let's not limit a whole ass medium by the whim of the mouse in the big blue castle.

Y'all ever peep Geronimo Stilton? The books were on the scene before my time but they always seemed quite imaginative. I tried out the TV series ages ago and it seemed a touch generic. The animation was pretty decent until a certain point so, very bouncy and quick to the punch.
