The smart cunning jerk and the good-hearted idiot has always been one of my favorite duo dynamics and I wish we’d see more of it in cartoons.

I’m really fond of this classic video game character trope where the character is a mere tradesman such as a plumber, exterminator, construction worker or handyman, it feels weird yet it kinda works too, especially in a platformer.

Mario was even originally gonna be a carpenter.
