Not only is Sonic lacking in representation but we don’t have an evil genius on the villains side of the roster (It’s usually either kings or space pirates) or a character who ultilizes in mechs and various machinery yet.

Heck, if Intelligent Systems really wanted accuracy to the main series then they might as well just get rid of Paper Mario/Luigi/Peach’s beady eyed chibi aesthetic and straight up redesign them to look like exactly like their stock 2D art instead.

The slight change in Paper Mario’s art direction makes me a bit sad, I get that they wanted the enemy designs to be more accurate and faithful to the modern mainline games but doesn’t that just take away from what made PM’s original artstyle so unique?
