@TF_Moments There's an issue of Archie Sonic (#92) that did something similar: I bring this up here because the artist (Michael Higgins) actually worked on transformers in the past: being one of the letterers on issue #1 and writing the GI Joe crossover mini (images from @thxkenpenders)

@SatamHistorian A lot of the coloring also seems to be redone: The original issue 50 was colored by Bollers (who had been coloring the book for a bit before writing); given that @KenPenders was the colorist on the main book when the special was released, I wonder if he redid the coloring himself
