I like to think the publisher of the original Halloween novelization saw a photo of Michael Myers and was, like, “This guy isn’t scary, we can’t put him on a book cover! I got an idea. Go get me a jack-o’-lantern and a sheet from the dryer.”

Found a prototype for the AHHctober logo (left). I spent a while designing the logo, the original one was too sinister. The final design was inspired by Halloween III with a simpler, classic Jack-o’-Lantern and the colors of Fall mixed into the leaves. More like an Apple logo.
