Fantastic art of @TheGhoulog and I by @maweekuh! Give them a follow and consider commissioning!
Raimi did that Oz movie for Disney years back and it did have some glimmers of Raimi to it but I feel like he didn't quite get to do stuff how he wanted to do it. The Wicked Witch was set up to be this scary, deadite-like thing in the trailers but then it was just Mila Kunis.
On a positive note, I'm working on my Santa's Slay RiffView right now but I have something special scheduled to go live today on YouTube at 1pm EST. It's something a lot of folks asked for and hopefully everybody likes it! I hope it adds to your Christmas spirit!
There have been some great Scooby-Doo things over the years but a lot of them have the idea that the original series was bright and colorful. Besides the main characters, it really wasn't. The world tended to be dark, atmosperic, dilapidated, gothic &, well, spooky.
I would kill to have a Venture Bros. spin-off with The Groovy Gang. It was a stroke of genius to take the Scooby gang but make Fred into Ted Bundy, Daphne into Patty Hearst, Velma into Valerie Solanas and make Shaggy The Son of Sam. It's such a perfect but brief parody.
So the Scooby-Doo comic is having a big anniversary crossover for issue 100. The new Scooby comics just use stock art or trace and, I must admit, the artist's take on the live-action versions of the gang will haunt me forever.
Here's a closer look at my avatar that will be appearing in @PopBaseOfficial's upcoming app, that was made by PopBase's Sophia N! Note that this was an early model, before my glasses were finished.
