Finishing off 2019 with development art from my biggest project of the past year.

A guy moves into an apartment and soon finds that it's haunted. The ghost isn't dangerous, but she's a terrible roommate, and the only way to get rid of her is to help her move on to the afterlife.

@kroovv My friends also gave me endless shit for this character I made for a D&D campaign. I wanted her design to show a scarily powerful, unchecked desire to unlock the secrets that magic holds, by any means. Turns out the designers of LWA, which I'd never seen before, had similar ideas

This is Roll. She's a songbird who sings and plays the harp with her bird feet. You could call her a bird bard, a harpy harpist...or just Roll.

She got separated from her family at a young age and now lives on the streets of a human town, performing for food and shiny objects.

Totally redesigned an old character that I never finished from over a year ago. Her name is Roll and she's a bird bard. A bit more on her in the next post.

But as far as the redesign, it's interesting seeing just how much my design sensibilities have changed over just one year.

Some expressions and expressive poses for still unnamed ghost girl, along with a slightly revised design. Characters that don't have solid physical forms are always super fun to do expressions for. And she just so happens to fit the spirit of the season too. #spooky

2nd design pass and some colors for that new batch of characters. The weirdo occultist neighbor is a cashier at a crappy fast food joint now, which is the reason he hates people and has a creepy, forced smile permanently plastered on his face.

I recently realized that I've posted plenty of pinups and character designs here, but I’ve never posted something that shows off what I’m TRULY good at...massively overthinking things that would never cross a normal person's mind.

A flat-color character design #commission for a buddy of mine of his character Juniper. I hardly have any experience drawing, let alone designing anthro characters, but I feel like she turned out pretty well.

I can't be the only one who got this vibe, right?
