So today is the 955 Anniversary of the battle of Hastings, as you all probably know.
955 doesnt sounds like *that* much of a long time, does it? Barely a thousand years.
But reconsider!
The fall of the western roman empire happened 956 years after the battle of Thermopylae!

in 1274, the 2 Empires clashed at the battle of Kadesh one of the largest known battles, with both sides fielding up to ~40 thousand men, including thousands of chariots, it shows both empires abilities to mobilize larger forces than ever before.
Both sides claimed victory.
