4. Electric: Plusle! Plusle and Minun are my favorite of the regional “Pikachu Clones”. Their interactions in media like the anime are very charming. Plusle edges Minun for one reason: the infamous bootleg Plusle card called Pludle. It breaks me every time I see it.

3. Water: Popplio! A hard choice here, as water is my favorite type, but I gotta give it up for Popplio. While I may not be too keen on its evolutions, Popplio is exactly what I wanted in a sea lion Pokémon that Seel and Dewgong failed to deliver. Also very cute!

2. Fire: Do I even need to say it? The first of my two favorite Pokémon, Tepig. Beyond cute, and also my favorite animal. Tepig was recently trending on twitter, due to masses of people admitting their true feelings for it. Your hatred just makes my love burn brighter!

1. Normal: Deerling! Pokémon with purely aesthetic forms, like Vivillon and Minior, are some of my absolute favorite Pokémon, and Deerling is no exception. While Furfrou has more forms, I prefer Deerling as a Pokémon. My favorite of them is the summer form!
