Thursday #PortraitChallenge! ✍️ Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (1891-1956), from a popular Indian print by an unknown artist @StudioTeaBreak
My version is black and white inks on toned paper.
Another one hour challenge done! I didn't leave enough space for all that dramatic sky. (Also, used a cheap watercolour pad that just deteriorated every time I passed a brush over it twice, aarrgghh) Oh well.

If it's the 26th, it must be time to post this month's bird - the Brown Thrasher, Georgia's State Bird. Mine is 6.5"x8" ink and watercolour.

The Wizard of the Weird Woods (or, the Wednesday #shapechallenge ) @StudioTeaBreak
I did this ink drawing a few months ago, then last night decided to give it some watercolour, just for fun.
Might have to dig up few of my old drawings to use for some more painting practice.
I gave my #1HOUR1SKETCH a slight touch of Lawrence Harris...maybe not a terrific quick technique, but hey, that's what happens when you experiment.

Here's my Himalayan Monal (8"x6" Watercolour) for April's #BirdWhisperer Project.
@BirdWhisperers
Didn't get the feathers' iridescence too much, but the shape is okay.
