Since it's #AntarcticaDay: here is one of the earliest known depictions of the Ross Ice Shelf - before it was even called the Ross Ice Shelf! John Edward Davis of HMS Terror drew the "Great Southern Barrier" in 1842, while Ross's expedition was trying to find a way around it.

@sailingsouthsea tall Parry, and Sabine drawing himself comically short. Parry always gets shown as very tall. This isn't specifically labelled as him, but it's from an account of the 1819 voyage and.. the likeness.
