@fingerpostblog Good theory from the seller that it was based on the Charmichael painting. I would have thought it was based on one of the Chain of Bergs images, either Davis or Beechey.

I have a lot of thoughts about this stamp collector's card currently on eBay. It's the only time I've seen the c.1850 photograph used for a likeness, so that's cool...
