@MinovskyArticle For sure, the art of SaGa by Tomomi Kobayashi alone makes them a delight! There is something so satisfying of playing a game where you can learn skills during battles and get the one that will turn the tide decisively. SaGa is about this flow of constant discovery & surprises
If you add the work of Tomomi Kobayashi on the SaGa series on top of that, then both of them definitely activated the chip in my brain
I will never get tired of the art of Ayami Kojima. Her work inside and outside of Castlevania is just heavenly. Needless to say she made me question a lot of things about myself.
Most video games series I know start with an art style from the right and then end up with the left one later on.
Not Castlevania though, they just decided to pop off with Maria's design 20 years later because Ayami Kojima and her art is a gift to mankind.
I just discovered the concept art (left) of Maria in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and holy shit, it kicks ass.
They should've gone with this one but the final design (right) is still cool.
The new Silver Case box art being drawn by the original artist 21 years later and focusing on Kamui's silver eye is 👍👍👍
I hope people are going to show up for this Switch release. I saw many people say they'd wait for a Switch version. Here it is.
Track: Melody of Evil and Divinity
Game: Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song
Artist: Kenji Ito
Revo stated that he took inspiration from the SaGa series for the music of Bravely Default. It makes sense, as Ito is *the* prog metal god. He unleashes emotion into every track. A legend.
Track: Serpent Eating the Horizon
Game: Bravely Default
Composer: Revo
This game is full of great tunes, but Revo has never popped off as hard as when he included a medley of all character themes INTO the final boss theme. His mind had reached 300 IQ that day.
Track: I'll Give You Something Hot
Game: Final Fantasy X-2
Composer: Noriko Matsueda
This was Matsueda's last ever game she composed before quitting video game music forever, but she decided to unleash all her bangers before that. She snapped hard.
