Had a go at today's #ShapeChallenge thanks to @StudioTeaBreak for encouraging the creativity flow - so, Lady in red. https://t.co/htw60Nb8NR
Thought I'd practice portrait in charcoal today. Supposed to be my youngest sister but I can see the second youngest in this - oh well, shows there is a strong family resemblance 😌
Some of my sketches from today's Life Drawing, from some of the 1 min, 5 min, 15 min and the final 45 minute poses.
Another attempt at watercolour. White tulips - I thought it might be good practice in negative painting plus adding warm and cool tones.
I struggle with watercolour but will keep trying it every now and again and eventually hope I work out what I'm doing 😅
I used some ink to define some shapes after the paint.
Did this earlier in the week, supposed to be an exercise in analagous colours but I'd picked items that went a little further round the colour wheel - still enjoyed doing it, though.
#facefebruary based on a photo of me approx 10 years ago. Taken by me - took several goes, not easy setting up camera on timer on tripod and getting into position, in the frame, in time & not looking gormless when it goes snap 😳 Thank goodness for digital, deleted loads.
The results of a workshop today on White ink with watercolour on black card. I used a brush with ink rather than using a pen, helped keep things loose and relaxed.

So, yesterday was a charcoal version. This was my photo abstract version from 2011 which formed part of my LRPS portfolio and was done as follows: photographed smoke from incense stick, turned it to mono and then selectively coloured in Photoshop. https://t.co/OCK7mIE9cH
Got my watercolours out for first time in months and, try as I might, it always gets too tight 😩
Sort of based on a photo from holiday in Lisbon a couple of years ago. I've attached it here, too. W/col with a little white pen.
