My attempt at today's #PortraitChallenge Self portrait by Sarah Baffin. I fancied trying it in oil pastels after initial charcoal sketch. Difficult getting detail especially the eyes with oil sticks on the size of card I was using but still enjoyed trying. https://t.co/VQSXGblfhu
My attempt at today's #PortraitChallenge of Peter Newell's 'Five O'Clock Tea'. Time to have another go with watercolours which I've been meaning to get out again. https://t.co/0GFzbmnJFi
#stilldecember Just finished Pears version 3 in soft pastels. I do love pastels, such vibrant colour.
Joining in with #stilldecember Spotted these gorgeous pears on Fridayand had to buy 3 to draw/paint and eat. So, my plan is to try different approaches and work up gradually to a painting and see if that affects the final result cf usual diving in 🤔 1 Charcoal on sugar paper
Oil pastel from this morning while waiting for the rain to stop. Again, started off as a semi-abstract and then, turning it round, drew the face on top. Funny how it worked out. Both images originally from our visit last week to St David's in Wales.
#paintSeptember day 28 and completed Peony version 2 in soft pastels (sticks) 7.5"x7.5"
Not much time for painting today so here's my work in progress of peony version 2 in pastels for #paintSeptember day 27
#paintSeptember day 26 and a peony in acrylic 8x8 inch. I might try the same picture in different media to see how I go.
#paintSeptember just finished this one - more playing with poster paints and abstraction. I think this is my favourite style that I've tried so far.
#paintSeptember day 18 and I've been wanting to try an abstract painting. So, bought some cheap poster paints from The Works, a large sketch pad and spent the afternoon in the garden. The bench is a little bit splattered now, too.
