Day 1249: Apple! Tonight was simple, but I am taking a step back. Really trying to get used to new brushes, and rethinking how I approach things. So I'm more worried about how I'm painting versus the result at the moment. I want to get a solid foundation under me again!
Day 1248: Street! The last of this month wasn't a real success. While I learned a lot this month, and I think forcing myself to get some of these frames done was a good idea, it also highlighted some problems I have. I'm going to try and solve some of them next month! :D
@MartaNael @SHelmigh Some work I've been proud of recently! :D All of the artists in this thread are so talented too!
I of course have to shoutout @ForbesKaytlin and @AizelKonArt
Day 1243: Puddle! The start of a picture I would like! It's one of those that takes a long time to get looking right, but it was fun to start. I really want to push this one to a nice finish someday. The reflection is fun, and the hard edge of the puddle is also satisfying.
Day 1232: Morning Cup! Tonight's result kinda worked! I really enjoy the atmosphere of pieces like this. I love the peaceful atmosphere of this. The colors also kinda worked too, but I really do need to try and push a piece with this mood to a more final completion soon.
Day 1227: Falling! Tonight's result wasn't great. A lot of issues with value, composition, and it just looking stiff. I'll have to rework this frame for sure. I'm glad I got a first pass done at least! I am learning which each attempt at these and making progress in the end!
Day 1224: Daybreak! Tonight's result definitely wasn't very good. The perspective never came together and I didn't like the result. When it comes to the actual project, I'll have to redo it, but that's fine! As long as I push through these first drafts, I'm making steps forward!
Day 1218: Growth! Found this photo of a cool cafe, and I loved how much plant life was in there. Sadly, this was a piece where my interest was higher than capability. I couldn't really figure out how to short hand plant life, and I'm going to need to do some studies of plants!
A Study in Red! My mentor had told me to push my comforts when it comes to color so I decided to try doing a study without using regular skin tones. It was weird to work on a red/blue scale but I liked it! Really made me focus on the values. It was from a picture I found online!
