Day 1043: Pride Rock! I saw Lion King today for my birthday, so I decided to go with this. Almost more of a value study than a lighting study, but I think it qualifies and I kinda like how it turned out! Hopefully I can be a better artist this year and be more responsible! :D
Day 1040: Three Objects! I'm not sure how happy I am with this result. It's not too pretty, but it kinda was working! It was a decent study in the end I think. I really need to do more of these studies. I also really should take my own photos, to open more possibilities! :D
Day 1038: Reflective Sphere! Tonight's result was a fun. Almost more of a texture study than a lighting study, I honestly just enjoyed doing this one. Reflections are always fun, though this was clearly done from a reference. Actually looks really good when zoomed out, haha! :D
Day 1033: Basic Sphere! I decided all of this month will be lighting studies! They may take various forms, but I'm excited to work with this. I will have to stay on my toes to figure out how I'm going to do proper studies for a month, but I'll do my best! I hope to learn a lot!
Day 1032: Floating Island! While this result was kinda where I was headed, it is still too flat and plain of a design sadly. I keep drawing things from the side view and I really need to shake it up if I'm going to get more dynamic and interesting images! I'll try harder!
Day 1030: Piercing Tower! Tonight's result was interesting. Not the worst I've done, and I think it has some potential. I'm trying to keep all the lessons I learn in mind and keep consolidating them as I move forward with these. Need to keep doing better as often as I can! :D
Day 1024: Explorations! Tonight's results were interesting. I tried to avoid developing too much of a story for each picture, I tried to be careful with my strokes and I tried to work more zoomed out. Some good practices I think, but I still have plenty and more to learn! :D
I was given permission by the amazing @nelizahsisonart to color a commission I had done from her a while ago! The lines were absolutely amazing and breathtaking so the inner child in me was just desperate to color them! :D I'm kinda happy with how it turned out!
Day 1021: Tracking! I actually kinda like today's result as a thumbnail. I think I could have done a better job framing it just a little more, but it's better than some other results I've done recently! I'm going to try and do more of these per night for my challenge soon! :D
Day 1018: Angel! While the design might have been a bit too symmetrical, I still like it! I was inspired by looking at a lot of other designs from Magic cards. I might try and push this into a full illustration some day. I was also experimenting with a new brush this time too.
