Day 1650: Tiger! Tonight's study fell back into bad habits. I was doing some older habits that I'm trying to move away from. Still, some of my newer techniques crept into my work this time. Not a good result, but hopefully still a step in the right direction! I'll try again!
Day 1648: Rose! Another night, another exploratory study. Still figuring out what I like in illustrations. I'm liking working with lower saturations and adding in highlights and more vibrant colors. I still need to figure out a smooth way to go from grayscale to color though!
Day 1637: Ponytail! I reallly enjoyed this one, even though it was rough. I think I am starting to enjoy painting these muscles a lot, I just need to now dig in and find a way of polishing it off that I like. I need to figure out the next step with these studies I do!
Day 1631: Hand 2! Another set of studies. I honestly don't hate drawing hands, but I really do dislike nails. Still, the more I practice the more natural they feel just a little every time. If I can keep up these studies I think my sketching will keep improving at a good pace!
Day 1625: Punching! Dozed off before finishing this one. Been dealing with some kind of allergic reaction that has been making me take medicine that has been messing with my work schedule a lot. Think we figured it out though so I'll be back on track now! Plenty to do!
Day 1616: Ribcage! Another simple study, but it was fun to try and dig into the information and really understand it. These first few studies are definitely more technical than artistic but once I understand what I'm painting I'll move onto more studies! Just gotta go steady!
Day 1603: Wolverine! Still on my marvel kick! I kinda liked this piece. There were a lot of clear shapes in this piece. I really should start these earlier to have a little more time with them, which I will hopefully do tomorrow. But still, another night of practice down!
Day 1586: Looking up! I got some frustrating news with regards to medication I need to take today so today was odd. I tried pushing this one to a bit more of a polish but I think it got away from me a bit at the end. Still, I think I'm learning a bit each day with these!
This is probably my favorite animation I made, the original illustration by @Jeleynai! Their work is incredible and people should check them out if you get the chance!
Apparently it's #PortfolioDay and I thought I might post some work I'm proud of! I do both illustrations and I really enjoy creating animations and animating illustrations. 2020 helped my art a lot and I hope to make even more progress in 2021!
