I'm afraid I don't have any good Halloween surprises this time... Still, I have progress, which includes a different sort of horror: dealing with wonky UVs.
I kept messing with the texture placement and adjusting resolutions to give me various amounts of success. There are even some location that you couldn't even tell that a seam was there the whole time.
One thing I learned is that diagonal lines translate poorly for seams.
I finally finished trashing this fort! Hopefully, this model will pass!
I would get a proper update ready, but I'll save it for tomorrow. I'll just be puling an all-nighter with a low chance that I'll actually receive feedback.
I'm a little over one half on the second to last plank for this bridge.
Almost done with this plank. I have two more left on this bridge. I would have done more, but I was on the clock again. Here's hoping I'll get the entire bridge completed tomorrow or so.
I'm not very happy that I didn't work on this too much today...
In any case, I have wonderful news! My "secret weapon" is finally sorted out! Eventually, I'll conduct additional tests with it.
Here's the last of the more complex planks that need UV adjustments. The top of the right piece is a little distorted; however, even when I manually pieced the UVs together carefully, the problem persisted... Guess I'll live with it...
Okay, my computer wasn't set straight, but at least I still have it for longer than expected! I'm trying new things to fix it up, such as upgrading the OS. That didn't help with the more pressing issue, but it seems like my computer is performing better than expected.
