One Sheet Words of Wisdom: The Humanoid (1979) "Being human always points, and is directed, to something or someone, other than oneself - be it a meaning to fulfill or another human being to encounter." - Viktor E. Frankl

Dad Mom Rock Diary: Carole King - Tapestry (1971) Easy to consign to elevators, but most of the tunes really are timeless if you listen without cynicism. Laudable Lyrics: You've got to get up every morning with a smile on your face and show the world all the love in your heart.

Sing A New Song: Angel Olsen - All Mirrors (2019) Came for some standard indie-pop, stayed for the (almost too) heavily orchestrated Baroque mood pieces. Laudable Lyrics: Took a while but I made it through. If I could show you the hell I'd been to.

Sing A New Song: Moon Tooth - Crux (2019) Prog-Metal lives, and seems to be doing quite well, especially if these guys from Long Island have anything to say about it. Hard, heavy, yet accessible. Laudable Lyrics: Get loud, get right! Raise cups to the good fight!

The Beast With Five Fingers (1946) Deceased pianist's digits aren't ready to stop playing. Peter Lorre chews up the scenery in the granddaddy of all crawling hand movies. TIL: Can't say the Medici's gave us any saintly popes, but at least they did fund the creation of the piano.

Dad Rock Daily: Camel - Mirage (1974) A bit more melodic and accessible than most of their Prog Rock contemporaries. Deserves to be more than a cult hit. Laudable Lyrics: When he rides, my fears subside, for darkness turns once more to light. https://t.co/6NyAB83Y8T
