If we were neighbors & you felt broken, battered, lonely & sad, I would come over to sit with you & just listen. Not offer advice but simply be there for you. If you didn't want to talk, we could sit in silence but you would not be alone.
What I love about children's literature is the magic with which it sweeps one away into worlds that filled our imagination & in which we invested so much of our own. The worlds were real. We went to Narnia, Wonderland, Neverland & OZ. So why would we not return to them as adults?
I'm not materialistic so my Christmas needs are quite simple. All I want is something that is a cross between Howl's Moving Castle and a T.A.R.D.I.S
Wow, the vehicles portrayed in the entertainment of my youth really set me up for a great letdown when I became old enough to buy a car of my own.
