I watched The Red Shoes (1948) today and I cannot wrap my head how Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger managed to follow up Black Narcissus from the year before with an equally fantastic (and gorgeous) masterpiece.

Gotenxs vs Super Boo: the funniest Dragon Ball has been since the 21st Tournament. Full of fun techniques and hilarious moments.

Goku vs Tambourine Rematch: The King Piccolo arc has a dark beginning with Kuririn's death. After failing the first time, Goku is able to defeat his best friend's killer in an overwhelming display of power during their rematch.

Goku vs Kuririn: it's a great resolution to the dynamic established since Kuririn's debut and it showcases Goku's evolution as a fighter.
Honorable mention to Ten vs Yamcha, it sets up Ten as a solid antagonist in the tournament (unlike the previous one).

Goku vs Red Ribbon Army: Tao Pai Pai is perphaps the most popular villain in the arc, so I'll go with Goku storming Muscle Tower and the RR headquarters. The sense of adventure and Goku fighting numerous people as part of the climax is unique. Muscle Tower is the best part.

I remember when Ex Machina won Best Visual Effects and people were upset because it didn't have as much CGI as The Force Awakens or The Martian. Every year I keep seeing people wanting to award the movie with the most CGI, instead of focusing on the quality rather than quantity.

Yes, a Superman movie directed by Taika Waititi would be wonderful. And I'm not basing this on just Thor: Ragnarok. I can imagine him doing a charming family story set in the farm involving Jon and Lois, too.

My quick take on this manga panel but with Gohan and Pan.

Young King Piccolo but in the robe and cape he had in his debut.
