#Smaugust2022 3: Bear Paw
More experienced explorers claim that all food-borne fauna almost exclusively eat regular animals that end up on the island. Yet I have observed them eating the native food-borne plants. Is it still carnivory then since they are made of food themselves?
Next are Seth and Jasper*. Both vampires that got turned by two different people of a splinter group from a larger vampiric family. This story had all the vampire romance tropes🙈
*(We'll call him Jasper because my drafts got deleted and I never fully emotionally recovered)
The OG Janus and Antonio. Wrote them in jhs when dystopian fiction was all the rage. It was also when I realized I was bi and this was my way of exploring that.
#Smagust2022 2: Jelly Donut
Underneath its thick layer of fur are scales that are brittle when shed. These fine sweet flakes dust its fur, making it unappetizing to the native fauna. Multiple sources say its insides are akin to jam, but I haven't had the heart to try it myself.
#Smaugust2022 1: Blueberry Muffin
Its wings wrap tightly around its back to form a dome. Their soft exposed skin often form welts and lesions that produce a thick sweet substance. I think this may be a deterrent since no food-borne creatures endemic to their island feed on them.
So hard to choose top 4, but these are definitely up there 🔥
