Tried out a new palette and some different ways to texture stuff for this.
Can't wait to be able to choose vertical crops myself instead of having to try to force them into compliance

30 minute arts in an attempt to get faster at drawing. Will be a thread if i keep doing these.
All of these ones are based off photos from pexels, though I don't have the exact links on hand.
Boiling lakes are a pretty neat natural phenomena. Sort of a photo study although I didn't worry too much about accuracy. Also used the DB32 palette for fun this time.
Hopefully doing little closeups will avoid the worst of twitter crop

While I was looking through old art I found this, which I think was my first ever attempt at pixel art last February. Pretty sure it took a few days at the time. After that I didn't touch art for a few months.
Kind of fond of it still, even if its obviously a complete mess.
My first every daily (imposter, late september) vs my most recent (lovebirds).
I think the biggest learning curve may have been learning how to format things for twitter. I still mess that up regularly.

Wanted to try a Nina V sprite in the style of Breath of Fire IV.
The portrait is a modified Nina IV portrait from in game so please don't think that's where I'm actually at skill wise. I just wanted to have one for Nina V.

Jets are hard to draw. Never really tried them before. Started this pretty late so a little haphazard finish.

Hi #PortfolioDay! I'm Alex and I've been doing pixel art since October and I'd like to get into doing art for games or other illustration work sometime in the future!
I usually do short animations but unfortunately Twitter doesn't allow for multiple animations.

I wanted to try some kind of scenery thing again. I will learn to draw trees and foliage someday.
