My big issue with Enamorus is literally just that she feels like that male vs female fantasy humanoid meme:

I know everyone and their grandma did an Enamorus redesign a year ago, but none of them really satisfy my itch, and I’ve been thinking of PLA lately, so I decided to doodle one out.

Kinda weird Paldea only has two starters but I think bringing the choices down to one really gave them a lot of room to flesh out their designs and give them a lot of character.

I know it’s old hat by now, but that “Gen 9 art bad” discourse was such BS when you actually go and look at all of the new art and realize a lot of it is actually beautifully rendered/has a lot of personality/is just good.

This is definitely not indicative of laziness, or whatever OP said. Some of the art is just kinda weak, and I think people are only making a big deal about it because someone had to natdex all over it. There’s plenty of older Pokémon art that looks not good too lmao
