But the thing is: Pokémon art has always been like this. It’s a case-by-case thing. Sometimes they look really good, sometimes they look really underwhelming. There absolutely is Gen 9 key art that looks great.
While I don’t agree with how they phrased it because it’s frankly cruel, I do still think these specific pieces don’t look very good.
They just kind of lack certain depth and imperfection that makes some other Pokémon art really beautiful. https://t.co/abBM83Kvrz

@itsibee Though they exist in contemporary Australia, there’s a lot of magic that surrounds them, manifested by their partnership. It connects them to the Butterfly Spectrum.
@itsibee He’s more into writing than he is music, but he finds banging on the drums a great stress reliever for his anxiety-ridden bones.
@itsibee Oli is pretty much the epitome of “gentle giant”. He’s tall and unnaturally strong, but kind almost to a fault. He loves animals (especially bugs), nature, and going on hikes, and he’s always got something in his hand to mess with. He also likes videogames, computers and comics.
I actually do enjoy drawing hands, they’re one of the most expressive parts of the body. https://t.co/lnwbTcSwOO
