Still it led to some of my favorite X-books and I hope people give it a chance, go in expecting an over the top X-men book and then I would say chase it down with some Exiles, this book kept X-men going into the 2000's and beyond.

It also inspired a sub type of event comics, while this has residence in days of future past most styles of it are More AOA, here's just a sampling of them. Even X-men has done other weird alternate timeline events. Let's not talk about Age of X.

Everything comes together in X-men omega where all the mini's finish out there stories and the final battle between everyone happens.

You get some fantastic art actually for the most part too yeah it's 90's but this is like the 90's book so you might as well enjoy it. It has dynamic pages and weird stories coming out of it. Including one of the weirdest bets in comics.

Morph fro AOA has not been used diapering in Comic book limbo this portrayal was popular enough to get him on Exiles along with Blink they made a reworked version who went on to become very popular himself. The Morph of Exiles has a similar attitude but very different history.

reason I start out with Siege and Dark Reign, is the fact that Norman Osborn is the big bad of them, and yet Spider-man is not a huge factor in the event. I get it on some level they wanted to have Norman become a more general villain but his biggest stories are tied with Pete

This might just be me I think more event comics might be loves if more actually had narratives that followed up on characters. Because thinking about things Event comics are kind of weird conundrums.

who act like the only shonen manga or manga is Jump manga. Which is yeah weird but it happens. Let's just try to remember to take a chill pill and remember there is more out there. Honestly I can't wait for bande dessinée to be called only Asterix comics(I kid)

Anyway this was more of a rant post because while I try to be positive and focus on good things I rather not be industry commentator 9000 who goes "THINGS ARE DOOMED" so enjoy the medium of comics and I hope one of my threads got you to look at something you like.

the fact is if you want to get into comics it's easier then you think start with a low stakes thing and go from there but I think that if comics is going to present better we need someone who can be an ambassador to readers and creators. Unfortunately the most well know one...
