Now a couple things to note, Superman does NOT live in Metropolis yet, right now he is good old Cleveland OHIO, and he works for the Daily Star, and....that' not Perry White. George Taylor would be changed out to match the radio version later.
Lois Lane is in the first story making her ONE of the oldest most consistent comics characters of all time. The Lois Lane Clark dynamic is one of the most important dynamics in comics and Lois would INSPIRE countless love interests.
Another possible influence was Gladiator and it's lead Hugo Danner, but NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE. Jerry Siegel actually review the novel he came from the early nerd scene....but honestly you can also just say Jerry was like John Carter but on earth. Again it possible.
I can honestly see why it's impossible to get rid of Lois from the Superman dynamic.
