Other titles of the era were kind of problems of their own, both Superboy and Supergirl were given dark makesovers, some of it worked for Kara(I love her red lantern run actually) but Superboy at the time is a mess of plotlines.

It's weird to discover a comic from 2003 with THE BASIC premise of the Promised Never land.

and Kamen Rider also gets a lot of homages in Japanese media. to list EVERYONE..is kind of crazy, but Skullomania and and Justimon are two such examples.

if your an anime fan you MIGHT have seen it compared to Madoka Magica, and yeah there was AN influence. Ryuki popularized a battle royal format, and seems to have influenced some future shows. The main riders are fighting for a wish, and this battle will test them.
