the yellows, oranges, and reds came from the first panel's different scent bubbles

colors........ this one's finally almost done, only a few more panels left

so anyway, i'm not an animation studio with tons of nice little worker bees who will make my lines nice for me so i'll still draw distance shots with a pretty thick brush. if they're clean, i just push them to lines rather than re-inking. for example, this comic's panels
