Tapinocaninus is a large herbivorous dinocephalian well known by a complete skull, partial limb remains and the most complete and articulated vertebra spine on a tapinocephalid, including the caudal vertebra showing the short size of these synapsid tails.

Moschops is a great and famously known Dinocephalian from the South Africa Karoo region, the heavy herbivore had very thick heads which alongside the head alignment that put its snout facing down and the short but strong neck allowed to head-butting in battle.
