Sundari, again! But with gouaches now. It was hard for me to defeat the resistance to grab the brushes and do this piece for a second time, but once I started, I cound't stop until the end of the process, I enjoyed a LOT coming back to paint. #FantasyArt #Gouache

Without realizing it, it quickly became more and more finish, so I move on digital until the end, that motivated me to paint the remaining three, so, it was a good decision. I will come back to traditional pieces in the future, but for now, I will finish the series digitally.

At first, my idea was to paint this series in gouache but I was so hesitant and opposed me so much resistance that I began to postpone them indefinitely. So with the "excuse" of doing a rough color test, I started to compose my values and colors.

Sundari's design is heavily inspired by hinduism iconography and the ever-present in my mind, Saint Seiya. Again, improvising is not one of my strengths, so before turning to layout/lineart, I needed to design her.

Sundari is the first of four illustrations that I was developed early this year but I wasn't able to paint it until this month. Hoping to share the rest of them soon.

I like to think that Shiryu should have been from Capricorn instead of Libra, this way, the climax that he reaches in the battle with Shura, and the inheritance of Excalibur, could be the perfect closure for the symbolic transfer of the Capricorn Cloth. #SaintSeiya
