Spent the holidays rewatching some of my favorite Japanese animations. These shows impacted my career greatly during my childhood and while studying at school. What are your favorites?
Been in a cyberpunk mood after playing a ton of 2077 over the weekend. The game looks gorgeous and I'm loving all the cool designs. Here are some cyberpunk themed designs by our FZD grads. This set is by Arthur Haefeli.
Noticed Skybound Games released the Definitive Edition of the Walking Dead games. Check out these beautiful concept designs by FZD alumni Joyce Xu. So nice! See more of her work at:

Joyce is currently a production designer at Striking Distance Studios.
Since posting the room cutaways last week, I've been getting DMs about the process. The steps are as follows:
1. Make detailed design notes
2. Rough sketch
3. Gather real world refs
4. Build rough 3d
5. Finish
Examples by Andrea Gasparini. Entire blog:

The holidays are almost here. Check out these super detailed Santa's Toy Factory designs by FZD graduate, Rustam Isaev. You can see more of Rustam's work on his Art Station:

Cyberpunk fish farm shack design by FZD instructor Ian Ho. The goal of this demo was to show students how to use personal items and set dressing to tell stories. More importantly, how to plan out the design on paper before committing to the sketch.
A couple more cutaway designs by our students. Top 2 by Wesley Phua and the bottom 2 by Jiaxin Zhu. I can never get tired of looking at all the fun details. If you want to see all 180+ images, they are all online now at:

Some more beautiful cutaways designs by our students. This set is by Ian Hong. Looking at these drawings brings back so much warm childhood memories of playing with toys and pretending to go on adventures. I wish I can visit these worlds :)
Designs by Maethavee Padungsakdisin. The details in her linework is very impressive. Concept designs such as these show that the artist is totally into their work.
